I appreciated Zendaya & John David's character portrayals in the movies.i felt the dialogue about racism Malcolm alleged to he encountered as a black filmmaker in the industry could have been more elaborated upon.i liked Zendaya's mature romantic role and how her character Marie called out Malcolm on his failure to acknowledge her contributions to his career since the female character in the film was based on her personal struggles as a young actress.she also was disappointed Malcolm didn't aprreciaye her support of their romantic relationships either .i was hoping foe a positive conclusion to Malcolm & marries status as a couple but maybe it was better just to leave it up to the audience about where they stood as either still lovers or breaking up for good.
