One More Song

Great movie; almost a coming of age road trip. The three lead characters elevate this film beyond it's plot line with some very well captured set pieces, understated emptional composure and very believable portrayals. The PBF manages to pull on your heart strings whilst never veering towards the trap of being mawkish. The interaction between the three unlikely travellers is filled with humour, sincerity and sadness but is above all a tale about unlikely friendships, challenging misconceptions and perserverance. It's heart warming and inspiring, is beautifully shot with a sublime screen play acted out by a very well cast set of actors. You won't be disappointed.

A missed opportunity. Too light at times for such a serious topic. Stellar cast, some great set pieces. CT in particular is fantastic. It's slightly odd that it was written by a man and directed by another. I'm not sure the idea of introducing you to the film through pieces to camera and sexist innuendo could ever work to then flip the emphasis to tackle the serious issues. It's a good film that had every opportunity to be great but in the end it didn't deliver on it's brief.
