I'm going to give Paranormal Activity a 9/10. I've never really liked movies that are shot through a video camera, but this one I can say is pretty decent, especially for a low budget film. It helped it feel like it was real and the acting was fairly decent. I can't say it was the best horror movie in a long time, like many others have stated, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Overall the movie could have been slightly longer, with a bit more story added into it, and in some parts it could of had some better acting, especially on the part of Micah. Just some parts of the way he acted and spoke didn't seem very realistic to me. Again, it's a great movie and worth watching. I think for people who keep saying that it's boring, I think the simple fact is, you don't have the patience to watch it and take in anything that's happening. Unfortunately, a lot of people just want jump scares and aren't interested in the stories movies tell.

I actually had this on dvd for the past 3 years or so and never watched it. For some reason something kept pushing me away from it. Maybe I had a feeling that it wasn't going to be as good as it was made out to be... However I tried it last night. From the outset I thought the special effects were good, but the scenery kept throwing me, I think it was just too corny or fake looking so that was a big distraction for me throughout. The acting was good especially from Gerard Butler and Geoffrey Rush, though the accents were a little tough to ignore especially when Gerard's Scottish accent kept coming through. The story was really good however I felt like certain parts of the movie just let it down. I don't want to put the entire movie down as I don't think it deserves that much criticism, as I did enjoy it. I just think if more thought and detail was added into the making of it, then maybe it would've been better.

In all honesty I've always disliked Adam Sandler and most movies he's been in, mainly because I've never found him funny, just childish and stupid. But I decided to try this movie, mainly because I love Jack Nicholson, he's a really great actor and reminds me of my grandfather. Surprisingly this became one movie with Adam Sandler in it that I enjoyed. Jack Nicholson I found to be a lot more funny, but they did good together all the same. There was a few embarrassing, cringy moments in it that I didn't find funny. The ending was really good with it's little twist.

Always loved the final destination movies right from the beginning. I've always been terrified of roller-coasters so this movie has definitely convinced me to stay well away from them! The acting was very good throughout all the characters apart from the two that died in the tanning salon. I don't get most movies that have girls like that in them, they're acting is soooo bad and cringy, it always makes me wanna slap them,so I was happy to see them die. The little confusing thing is at the beginning when she has the premonition on the roller-coaster it shows frankie's camera causes the accieso if frankie got off the ride, then what caused the accident? Maybe they should've thought that one through again.. It was a shame to see Ian McKinley die near the end, I always had a bit of a crush on him. All that aside, a very good and enjoyable movie.

I always love and enjoy watching movies like this, mainly because I grew up on movies like this. Really funny and never gets old.

I really don't get why people give such pointless, bad reviews on a lot of movies. Okay, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but sometimes it just seems deliberate and over the top. I really enjoyed this movie just much as the first, it still had me gripped to end. I noticed some people pointed out that no one was taken, well him and his ex wife were sort of taken so that probably counts... Again I recommend this movie. Definitely if you enjoyed the first one then this is also bound to please.

I was brought up on most typical action-packed and thriller movies thanks to my parents, so I didn't watch this one straight away when it was released. When I finally got round to watching it, I was very impressed. It was nice to watch someone different other than your typical action heroes for a change. I was definitely glued from start to finish, and I've watched it loads ever since. A great movie that will have you on the edge of your seat in some scenes. I definitely recommend this film!

I have watched this movie millions of times since I was a kid and I love it, even though I am absolutely petrified of anything with more than four legs, especially spiders! I literally have a panic attack if I see any or are close to any. Maybe seeing this movie since I was a young kid has added to phobia, but I enjoy it all the same. I just look away when it has the close ups of the arachnids.

This movie is far from terrifying, but maybe I'm just too used to horror movies... I found this movie second hand and thought it might be alright seeming as it had Leigh Whannell and Ioan Gruffudd in it. It was a shame that they had such small parts and short endings. Even the killing of the stepmum was pointless and too quick. There was no story / plot to this movie at all, nothing made sense and the cameras were really annoying! The ending was absolutely terrible and ruined the whole film. It wasn't even realistic throughout, especially when they escaped the house, including when the stepmum got out. No one thought of neighbours maybe. Or if so many people were watching it online, surely someone would have recognised them or the house and street they lived on.. I don't think I'll be watching this again, it can go straight back to the shop it came from.

It was okay, though it could've had more to the story as it a little confusing. However it was interesting in places. The little girl was a good actor, though the parents acting was off and not quite realistic. I also wouldn't really class it as a horror.
