The movie was remarkable in its own way. It’s not exactly like the original , and that’s a good thing.... Overall I was pleased, however there were a few very key scenes that lacked that sort of “punch” they needed that were present in the original film... I believe keeping James Earl Jones as Mufasa was the best decision they made.... The cast all did a wonderful job and you could tell a lot of thought and heart went into filming, however, Scar wasn’t as impactful visually or audibly. He had a seemingly monotone appearance. There were good changes and not so good changes. If I had to give ratings for category out of a ten star system it would be as follows: Overall 9/10 Casting 8/10 Music 10/10 Animation 10/10 Drama 7/10 Characters 8/10 Attention to Detail 10/10
