I enjoyed this very much. There’s so much that comes to the table with just the premise, but it was all addressed realistically and thoughtfully, without melodrama or false sentimentality. The characters never become caricatures. They’re all multi-faceted enough that you come to care about each ones’ stories, making the overall story arc very moving. The actors were all so natural. I wouldn’t have expected to be sitting here, 30 minutes after finishing the last episode, still fighting back tears. I’d recommend this highly.
