A simple game for simple minded players. Side quests sucked. Just all fetch quests. The battles were extremely boring and insanely drawn out. There’s no critical thinking. Just follow your markers. Boom.....quest complete. New town, big fight, new town, big fight. Over and over again. There’s no real exploration, a few treasure chests and a thousand collection points. Nothing real fun or exciting. I liked the idea of the final fantasy xv style battle, but it’s like they just tried waaaaay too hard to make an epic “one for the record books” type of game. And it came out boring. The scenery was awesome. The in-world was awesome. The plot was even pretty good. It was just, in one word, boring. I really wanted to like it. BotW paid homage to this game with a side quest. So it must be good right? No. I know there are people who swear by this game, but like I said at the beginning, if you want an easy sense of accomplishment, this game is for you. I really did try to like it and forced myself to play on and maybe it will get better. It just doesn’t.
