Ten year-old me loved this movie! Saw it many times at the theatre. Fifty-four year-old me loves this movie! John Barry’s score is always a plus. I really don’t know why this gets such a bad rap. Is it Star Wars? Not even close. But it holds its own. It’s not your usual Disney fare. I think with time it will be seen as the classic that I believe it is.

I was nine when I saw the first Star Wars in 1978. I’ve often stated that my childhood didn’t really begin until my first viewing. The magic. The lore. The Wookiee! I’m fifty now. That nine year old boy and that sense of wonder are still within and will always love Star Wars. If you allow that little boy or girl inside you to experience this movie, you will have a great time! Suspend your disbelief and experience the wonders of a saga that has evolved for over four decades now! And always let the Wookiee win! 😃
