Duvall is incredible; the rest of the cast is superb. One of my favorite westerns.

Perhaps one of the very best of John Wayne's movies. He is not the unblemished hero of many of his performances, but even as a tarnished hero, Ford has brought out the best in his acting ability. A superior cast does not hurt. This is a must see.
