Awful remake of great movie. The cast tried but the direction was poor.

Could be 5 but not enjoying the host. She's very nasty to the architects and I doubt she's knows anything about architecture really. it's annoying to have to go convert pounds to dollars but really glad these people have that money to take such a chance. This is WAY better than Love it or Lose It lol

Special effects make this movie. It's very true to story but casting not perfect if you have decades long image of the main characters in your head and/or the previous movie. Still, they all did a credible job with the source material but sometimes it was clear they didn't really understand the philosophy specifics. Javier Bardem is not a credible Stilgar. CGI, model making etc is first class.

Worth watching to see the cast so a great job with semi lame story. Great scenery

I find it very uneven, yet it is still compelling. I definitely think having read the book is a plus. I think Cynthia Erivo is fantastic but it’s not the Holly Gibney character I formed in my mind from reading the trilogy and once I was able to wipe preconceptions aside began to enjoy story more. One of the best adaptations of Kings’s work in some time
