I’m putting aside the fact He-Man isn’t in the show after the first episode, since it seems pretty clear he comes back in future episodes.
However there is some very questionable writing and story choices from Kevin Smith.
The show has very childish themes and no there’s no real edge to it, no real peril or tragedy to speak of. So it appears to be a children’s cartoon, but the characters and references don’t appeal to anyone under 30. So why target children with the writing but adults with the theme and characters? The result is a cartoon that appeals to nobody.
