If Netflix wasn’t paying off “critics” for favourable reviews, it would have an even lower rating, believe that. Luckily, years from now, the original and 2002 versions (maybe they’ll extend the 2002 version? That would be awesome) will still be fondly remembered and this dumpster fire of a woke embarrassing retcon and slap in the face to fans, will be forgotten entirely. This will forever be known as the “Kathleen Kennedy method” of reboots.

A mindless and incoherent “update” so bad that even Miles Dyson would turn over in his grave..... I wish Skynet would send one back in time to destroy this script.

Awful. Just awful. The movie had nothing to do with Venom, other than the character's names. Another wasted opportunity to make an iconic movie from an iconic character. But the studio made money so who cares, right?
