A rip-roaring tale that explores the figures who shaped Japan during its most violent phase, but without sugar-coating or glorifying any of them unnecessarily.

By comparison to its predecessor, 'The Final Jam' is neither as consistent in its plot, nor as honest in its music or message.

A perfect example of how Hollywood can sometimes think that eye candy and spectacle are able to substitute genuine acting and a consistent plot.

Consistent in its story, solid in its themes, and with a cast that's magnetically attracted to its characters. Shadowhunter's only struggle is defining the line that separates its own fictional world from the real one.

Though it borders on self-serious, Titans is kept grounded by its portrayal of a dysfunctional but devoted family. Furthermore, the cast is so mesmerizing in their roles, it becomes addictive to watch them. Brenton Thwaites specially.

Surprising emotional weight, and beautiful music to go along. However, the pacing is too uneven to not damage the film; events are either happening too quickly or too out of the blue.

While it's neither as innovative as Shrek nor as carefully-crafted as Frozen, Red Shoes is nevertheless sincere in its message, and fun to watch.

Turner owns the role of Jean Grey, and Sheridan could do beautiful things with Cyclops if given the chance. Unfortunately, Dark Phoenix chooses to centre entirely on Mystique's growing schism with Xavier, plus her eventual death. The end result is a film that brings nothing new to the franchise, in comparison to its 2006 predecessor.

Even hardcore fans of the franchise will grow sick and tired of this new series. Either for its dependence on cheap humor, or storylines that—in comparison to its predecessors'—are infantile and insipid.

Undone by a form of violence so over-dramatized it's comical. Additionally, Samantha Vanaver's character is so generic in every way, her "big reveal" is predictable and cliched.
