There's no shocking revelations to be found in this book.
There's a feeling that the author believes that those that will read this book lack any critical thinking what so ever, and have never had any critical thinking ability in their entire life.
The are a few interesting facts about history (what I was expecting from the book) but the experience is dulled by the authors heavy-liberal political rants that don't have any real connection to the subject matter. It mostly read like an opinion piece rather than objective analysis of historical events.
I was hoping it was just going to be a history book, but to then read the political and social views/commentary of the author seemed unnecessary and frankly rather boring.
All I required from this book was a walk through history from another perspective backed up by evidence. This book failed to do that, I will persevere with the book as there are some interesting points, however I will get through this quickly as I will not read anything that goes off topic. I do not have time.
