A low IQ book which touches all the Booker Prize themes, among them faux class consciousness, post-colonial setting, and pidgin English/Hinglish, to give the midwit reader with a small vocabulary and a big *social conscience* a feeling of immersion which precludes their noticing the threadbare Bollywood masala plot and lack of literary substance.
