Great sequel.
This time around, it’s definitely more a psychological horror more than anything. While most of the gang grew up and moved away from the town, they had forgotten their experiences with pennywise. that is, until, pennywise shows up again 27 years later. the gang reunites and has to dig deep into their minds to remember the fear they had so long forgotten.
It was quite smart of the film makers to have more dimensions of pennywise in this film. meaning, you don’t just see pennywise and the scary antics he does, you see other terrifying monsters and creatures that just puts the cherry on top.
I’m incredibly impressed on how well done the move is. though it may be 3 hours long, it’s worth the time. If you were a fan of the 2017 It, then you won’t be disappointed with this sequel. I will say though, expect the unexpected.
