Stree 2 Review:
The sequel to the phenomenally successful first part fails to live up to the expectations set by its superb cast and captivating story. While the director's progressive concept is admirable overall, main actor Rajkumar Rao overacted in a couple of sequences. Some superfluous scenes were unnecessarily crammed into the film's expectations of good laughs, but to no avail. The plot twists and cameos were just as uninteresting. There were a few humorous lines, and it was entertaining to hear Pankaj Tripathy's pure Hindi accents and dialects with his superb comic timing .Tamanna Bhattia's dance sequence was fantastic, and the persona she played in the film was unbelievably cringeworthy. In contrast to the promising cameo from Varun’s Bhediya, which hinted at a future horror comedy world, Akshay’s cameo was completely upsetting. In general, the second part is entertaining, but only to a lesser extent than expected. 2.5/5.
