The art style is great along with a decent story. A wide variety of weapons and powers keep you wanting to play more runs and experiment with different build. Boss fights are unique and fair. The movement and controls feel pretty good until they don't; then they REALLY don't.
First and foremost. The camera in some rooms is atrocious. In the longer/deeper rooms where the camera is too far back I lose half my health because I literally can't see what's going on. Some of the boss fights you can't even see the boss because the camera isn't panned/zoomed correctly. Some rooms the camera makes it difficult to locate items on the ground. Losing a run because the camera screws you is seriously infuriating.
Movement. The games feels really good until you get stuck on a pixel of terrain or another 'object' on the map and can't move. I've lost runs now because I get stuck and can't dodge attacks or run for safety. This is more prevalent in the second zone.
Progression is very slow. Borderline tedious. I like a game with a good grind but when you finish a good run and have almost no upgrade materials to show for it will push a LOT of people away from playing. Especially with the 'damage checks' starting at the fourth zone it gets really stale.
There's some stuttering with graphics but i'm on nvidia which is stated to have issues. I'd like to see this resolved eventually. Not bad enough to be a deal breaker though.
Really solid game. The camera makes me want to throw my controller but the weapons and powers keep me playing. I'll be looking forward to updates.
