I love both the other iterations of this, and there were some charming and funny moments here, but it was way too realistically cruel. There’s some meanness in both the others but more of a childlike meanness, not selling your niece into slavery and abuse or repeated attempts to MURDER multiple people! There was so much violent crime committed that it way overshadowed the sweetness and just left a bad taste in my mouth (excuse the reference) - I have watched the other two many times over, but have no desire to rewatch this sad mess

Love the kids, which can be a hard sell for me - scary and touching

I don’t remember the last time I watched a G rated movie, and I was crying and laughing and clapping (all by myself) at the end! I have been telling EVERYONE how wonderful it is- watch it!!🤗

A waste of beloved actors- terrible dialogue, painful to watch

Very different- main kid/deer is ADORABLE and an excellent actor- love it!
