I've never reviewed a video game on Google before. The Stamina Bar absolutely ruins the game and I requested and received a refund after I found that was in it. If I want to play discount Dark Souls I'll just... get Dark Souls when it is on sale. Assassin's Creed combat is supposed fast, frenetic, exciting, mobile, you dash about dodging and whirling like a murderous dervish... in AC:V? Grandma cracks her axe out for 3 swings and a dodge before she needs nap time! I get this will appeal to the legion of GIT GUD people, but after finding zero challenge to the point of boredom in Dark Souls and Bloodborne (awesome looking games, great stories, very creative world building, but painfully boring combat for me) this is a great misstep. This is not what I buy an Assassin's Creed game for. I can dream for a patch to AC:O to make the UI stable on my PS5 and go back to that. The game might be great later it, it might be full of other interesting systems, it might have a great story, but I'll never find out because the addition of this combat resource system caused the game to immediately be no fun for me. Any of The Gamers who read this chill the heck out you can enjoy something I don't like, alright?
