I didn't actually get into the first movie, thinking that you could hardly tell it was a JK Rowling film. But this film I enjoyed much more. I loved the analogies to the HP series. Because I preferred the second film, I rewatched the first and I enjoyed it far more, although I didn't much like Newt's side running like a monkey. I will have to watch the second again now, so that it all makes sense. I think the initial problem is that it is set in America which does not really work as well, never feels as complete as it does in Britain. Not as in depth. Plus I would like to see more Credence, and less wind swept hair on Newt.
