(Minor spoilers) Didn’t like the game... one of the key roles of the game creators is to plot down an amazing story, that can continue game to game... I understand most of the positive reviews haven’t played the first game (by what I saw), and understand that if you treat it as a separate thing it might be good. Let’s be honest, graphics and gameplay are astounding But being honest also means to understand what made the first game a masterpiece: the story And the main problem with this game is not that it killed Joel or made decisions questionable by the regular public. The main problem is that they completely failed to maintain the trail of the first store. They made a 180* degree change, and failed to give the new characters the same approach they gave to EVERY side character in TLOU. Besides this, Joel&Ellie was the first time I saw a game showing a father-daughter-like story, it was a totally compelling and opened a new area to explore in gamer’s emotions. and I think they completely wasted the opportunity of exploiting that side more in this game Last thing, the ending fails to deliver a message and makes the player distance from Ellie’s position and choices I’ve been depressed the whole weekend thinking of what this game could’ve been...
