King Leong

This is one of those mediocre films that's saved and even elevated by the ending. I suspect the ending won't go down well with long time fans of the series or closed minded reviewers, but as someone with a less than casual knowledge of DQ (and even less so with DQV), the ending and how everything's tied together changes the experience from a weird "Am I watching an extended cut scene?"-feel to a legit movie going experience. Should you watch this flick? Sure, why not? I mean, if you have nothing better to do. Should you watch it if you're a DQ(V) fan? Only if you want to know how long time Transformers fans felt when they watched the 2007 live action Transformers. Overall, I give it a thumbs up. But it's probably not for the fans.
