After about half the movie, I realized that what I was seeing was a lot of super-close-ups of Sophie Turner in tears. It got more and more distracting as the movie dragged on.
It felt kinda creepy, like the camera ignored ever other character, so focus of the movie was: Sophie Turner's face, taking up the entire screen, while she was, artistically, in tears.
'The Phoenix in Tears' could be a drinking game.
What kind of creep was the director? The dialog was so awkward, just one emotional manipulation after another. The plot was as thin as the space between Sophie Turner's face and the camera. Did the director stalk the poor woman off screen, the way he shoved the camera in her face on screen, I certainly wondered.
It was so distracting, I can't even remember what the movie was supposed to be about.
It certainly wasn't Sophie Turner's fault.
Better luck next time. Just don't work with that guy again. He's creepy.
