This review is only for the first three episodes released. But, WOW! Can't wait for the rest!!
Update: after the full season this is one of the best shows I have ever seen and easily the best animated series. It is hard to say much without spoilers, but I will try . This is a character driven ensemble where no one is truly perfect, good or bad. The mistakes, emotions and imperfections of each character are apparent, but so are the aspects that make you want to cheer for each character. The first two episodes are set up for a wild ride.
The art style is beautiful, and almost every frame should be a painting on a wall.
I won't claim the show was perfect, but I have minimal gripes (I wish they didn't have time limits for episodes and could have expanded on a couple of scenes/characters, and some of the in-world pacing feels off in the second and third act). The show knocks it out of the park in every other aspect though.
Bring tissues and someone or something to hold. The only real question for me is: can this level of emotional investment be brought out in future seasons? That seems impossible, but I can't wait to find out.
