I was wondering how Masterchef Junior Australia would fair. I’ve been a fan of the franchise for many years watching many of the series across different countries, including Masterchef Junior US. Masterchef Junior Australia so far after only 3 episodes has really impressed. The contestants aged 10-14 keep surprising me with their creativity, love of food and cooking, along with many bringing their culture to their dishes. The new judges were needed (although I did like and appreciate the past judges). Jock, Mel and Andy keep it light hearted for the age group of the kids along with their feedback being warmly supportive yet positively constructive when needed. A program to watch as a family which makes you smile and be inspired by our next generation of chefs.
