I own a hard-copy 1909, publisher Andrew Melrose. A lovely and inspiring book. The author experienced transcendental moments and pure happiness working as a farmer. The language is lyrical, poetic and warm-warming. It reminds me of Thoreau's classic WALDEN.
In our materialistic, stressful and competitive world, this book will provide solace to people who wish to return to simplicity and a quiet life in the country.
I am a collector of old, not rare, books. A hobby-writer, composer and musician. A Zennist and humanist. I live in Melbourne.
Best wishes
