Ehh. I can see how this book is a cult classic. It was written when SciFi was still shaping. It centers around interesting concepts.
Personally I felt the author had a good idea started writing and then, half way through, lost the thread of how he will actually bring it all together. Last few chapters is a plain mess with ending that leaves a lot to be designed. Overall rather disappointing.
