The history is mostly correct but the way it's written into the movie is painful. As is the dialog in general. I'm not sure the goal of the writer wasn't to hit every single movie cliche possible. Towards the end I thought they had hit them all. Silly me. He had more to dole out. I'm surprised the actors could dole them out with a straight face. The best part is the CGI imagery of plane, ships and settings. They pretty much nailed that. Too bad it was surrounded by such a horrible script. Also, if you watched this you'd pretty much think the US had no carrier fighters. Extra CGI bucks I guess. I hoped for a lot more.
