Boring, pretentious, slow, "I am very smart" vibes. They try so hard to be weird and mysterious and deep that it becomes extremely obvious what the "plot twist" is very quickly on. It is not bad because people might not understand it, it is bad because it is purposely TRYING to make people not understand it and mocking them for hating every moment because they "just aren't smart or cultured enough." It crawls at an unbearable pace through tedious dialogue (like 30 minutes of people driving in a car... multiple times) in which the main characters have "smart people" conversations under the guise of being thought-provoking and suspenseful. The plot is basically nonexistent. And I like to read and write poetry. It felt like when you're in a poetry class and that one person shows off and hogs the entire class discussion, BSing the most fantastic, profound meaning out of nothing and being smug about it and you feel like if you criticize the ridiculous things they are saying they will just laugh at you and say you just don't get it. This whole movie was the last-few-episodes-of-Game-of-Thrones level of insulting to the audience (if GoT was just Bran being pulled through snowy woods while saying pointlessly and infuriatingly cryptic monologues) with supposed plot twists for the sake of shock, but with no direction, purpose, or consistency Wow, nothing of the boring nonsense we tried to confuse you with mattered; gotcha, stupid!
Truly a waste of life. I should've ended it five minutes in.
