If you liked Sticker Star and Color Splash, you’re going to absolutely LOVE the Origami King. If you’re more along the traditional RPG fans, I think that the Origami King is definitely not like the original experiences, but there are some aspects of the original games that kind of sneak their way back in. The exotic and inspired worlds, a couple of interesting partners and characters, permanent weapons (that kind of become irrelevant when you find the good temporary ones). If you have 60 bucks to blow on nothing and you’re not super big on gameplay, then yeah, go for it. If you were waiting for the next TTYD, or if you were banking on the perfect new Paper Mario experience, I’d advise against the purchase. However, I can make an alternative suggestion: Bug Fables for the Switch is only $25 and some are calling it the new TTYD that Paper Mario fans have been craving for a long time.
