Hands down this is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time. Regardless of your faith and religious affiliation, Father Stu helps God be approachable, objective and non judgemental. Mark is incredible and the range of emotion, passion to make this movie and his spread hope will earn him an Oscar. I grew up Catholic and I know that the Church (and many other organized religions) can seem so out of touch, judgmental, unapproachable and sheltered. He makes God feel relevant and depicts His love in a way that the most unloved, the most unsuccessful, the most damaged and the most off course feels unconditional love. If any viewer that was scared off or rejected by organized religion sees this movie and walks away feeling hope I’d say it’s more impactful than any Hollywood award.

One of the best series I’ve seen. Clever plot, complex characters and intense emotions through the very end. It would be nice to have a season 2 but the limited episodes were thoughtful and graceful to the finale. You are rooting for her through her journey and it reinforces that family doesn’t have to be by blood. Her character is humbling and she highlights an era where women were learning to have voices. Regardless of the trauma she’s experienced, she’s kind, intelligent, worldly and wickedly funny. The DNA of many women who have paved the way for us today. Highlight of 2020!
