I was excited to read this book by Zusak but disappointed after the first 40 pages. The book was fragmented, disconnected and difficult to get into. I preserved, however, and discovered the storyline deep within its pages. Too many pages and redundant. I did love the character, Clay, and the book was about his struggles to complete a bridge. On and on it went but I completed the read . I gave myself a 5 and the book a 3.
