What an amazing cast and story! All five of the series regulars are unique and funny in their own way. Apart from the shows occasional flashbacks, which essentially shows recent events and provides additional context and humor to the scenes, the continuous on-off relationships each character has with different people and with each other allows for a fresh and engaging episode every time. I did observe how some hookups and breakups with non-regulars or recurring characters are not processed enough to seem realistic. Sometimes a recurring actor or guest star appears in two or four episodes and then dissapears in the next, as if they were forced into the season to give the show length and progression. Regardless, all 7 seasons are SOLID till the end, and the chemistry between Zooey Deschanel and Jake Johnsonn's characters is very investing as well. Elizabeth Meriwether did well in creating such an up-beat comedy that's suitable for all ages above 14. If you want something that's less darker than The Office but definitely more adult than Drake and Josh, then you'll probably love the dysfunctional yet fun-loving group of friends in New Girl.
