You would think that by now, some of the existing characters' powers would've been on another level, but no. I think that would've made things more exciting. The story line is okay. Predictable. I liked part 1 more. The main girl in part 2 kind of ruined it for me too.

As soon as the movie started, I was already disappointed. I tried to be more open minded, but nothing else worked. There were so many things to critic that weren't related to the original Disney. I get that some things have to be different to make sense, but what is this chi, evil witch, emperor fighting for his own life, random phoenix... so many pointless things that should've used some details from the original. For example, during Mulan's session with the match maker, a spider is CGI'd and added to cause a scene. Why not bring in the cricket? And if there's going to be a random phoenix flying, why not bring in a dragon? Looks like there were too many cooks in the kitchen, lack of research, lack of originality, horrible attention to details... just so many things. I just can't.
