I’ve been the sex and the city fan for the best part of 20 years. I’ve watched the shows countless times, the movies, and I had such high hopes for this series. It started off strong with a clear storyline, great acting, and a shocking plot twist… as the series went on it just progressively got worse. I found the characters of introduced a tick box exercise and the writing overall was poor. It felt the show lost its way. Series 2 and three had pivotal moments in it which related to sex in the city and related a strong message about relationships, love, friendship, romance etc, however, most of the writing and storyline has been poorly written, poorly acted and poorly executed. With such an incredibly high budget and high hopes of this series, I am so disappointed and I really hated how carries character turns into this cringy novelist towards the end of series 3. I don’t understand how characters are very quickly introduced, and there are suddenly never mentioned again in the series. I don’t understand how Miranda was a successful partner in a law firm, and she ended up retraining at law school in this spinoff. Some of the characters just don’t make any sense or add any value to the series. I’m really sorry… But this entire series as a whole for me has been a complete flop!

Great beginning, funny, interesting, very original but lacks depth in the middle with disappointing ending. Was looking at my phone distracted with “more important” things, even got the Hoover out. Turns out very boring.
