Laapata Ladies is a heartwarming movie that engages you from the get go with its story and its emotion. There are instances of good comic timing with gripping plot. We can see the goodness among people like the railway station master, the policemen, the chai stall in the railway station etc. In its contrast, we can also see antagonistic type character among few of its characters which will touch your nerve. The willingness of the female characters to for further studies, wanting to do something for themselves, the societal norms and values holding them down and all other obstacles women of all ages must navigate in their life is beautifully portrayed. It is a must watch movie from my side. A family entertainer and an eye opener among our society. Absolutely loved it.

This movie is a masterclass. Not all crime movie needs to be flashy and loud. This masterpiece is subtle with epic dialogues and characters that will keep you hooked through out its run time. Absolute gem.

The ratings does not do justice. I guess people have different taste and comedy is subjective. But this movie for me was Gold. Loved the character development, the protagonist, the subtle sense of family and the well documented road trip. You will not regret it. 💯

All the characters played their part potraying the struggle of women, living their own dream and finding purpose. The movie with its subtle mistery, cleverly packed witty lines and an empowering theme of feminine struggle makes it a must watch. The screenplay and setting of Victorian England is on point. Furthermore, the outstanding deductive skills of Holmes family is again up for audiences to grab.
