More holes in the plot than Royal Lytham golf course. The locations will baffle you if you know the area. Quite enjoyable towards the end though it's clear who the main murderer is without any spoilers. Too many loose ends though. And a quite ridiculous idea that someone runs away to live in a posh house with different hair colour just a few yards up the road but no one over a 17 year period has ever recognised her. Apart that all that, not bad. 😂

It tried so so hard as did I to watch it and remain engaged. But ultimately it is a pretentious bore despite the best efforts of Olivia Colman as a self-absorbed sociopathic narcissistic individual not really cut out for motherhood who saw her younger herself in a young woman on a beach. Great acting, awful film.

Excellent powerful film despite it being a very 'hard' watch indeed at times. Superb acting.
