There is blurry line between entertainment and worship among people today as you can see throughout all the reviews you will find here. So I want to come from mostly an entertainment perspective which I find completely attrocious to even think about when speaking about the faith, since Jesus didn't come here to play an acoustic guitar, but here I go...🤢...The Chosen Christmas Special was a music event WITH a special episode, not a movie. If you enjoy contemporary Christian music you will enjoy this. The episode portrayed a more intimate perspective of Mary and Joseph that you won't find in most shows or even movies you will probably come across. This is a shame since the biggest problem with the Christmas special was there were too many music videos and not enough of the episode. A lot of the music was similar in tone and thus brought about a "dragging-a-long" sensation. The ratio of time for the music videos to the amount of time for the episode was a rather generous proportion to the music side. This is understandable, but it may drive the less patient of folks out of the theater who do not enjoy contemporary Christian music. All in all it was pretty well constructed, but needed some fine tuning😜 with less glamour.
