I'm quite disappointed about this game. Most of the time I got games when they are $20 off after the first couple weeks but I got DMC5 at full price. So I got expectation and it failed me. A few quick points: - Game play is old and no big advancement since DMC2/3. Like I'm playing a 10 years old game just with better graphics. - Story is not that good. Dante was such a cool, dark and mysteric character in the old days. Now he talks like an ass and there is no substance to this character anymore. You don't feel much personality from him and gone are those burden and responsibility that the whole world depends on him.... - Breaking those orb trees here and there just seems so out-of-place. Like they are there just because they have to be somewhere so you can hit them and collect them. - Tedious way of telling a story with 3 concurrent fronts from 3 main characters. Could have done better than keep rolling the dates and clocks every mission. Starting to lose track what was going on at what time. - The intra-mission menu is so bad and incomplete. Any selection in and out of submenu goes into loading screen. I can't believe this is a PS4 game. - Many more.... I love the first couple DMCs (although the name is weird) but it's DMC5 and it gets old if it doesn't move forward. I'm really puzzled why this one gets good reviews everywhere..... 6/10.
