It’s a good Game but gets old kind of fast, even with the added maps. Thanks to the unavoidable super slow pacing even when on fast mode. And with a large portion of the mini games not available in the standard Mario party mode, as well as the fact that out of those limited mini games, there are IMO several that are simply inferior iterations of previous Mario party games. It doesn’t feel like there’s as many complete “DUD” mini games but more so way more middle of the road with very few standing out as “wow I can’t wait to play that one”. Even my kids who typically could stay up all night playing games if we would to ever permit seemed to be saying “aw not this game again” rather quickly, only after a few days of playing a match a day as a family. Combine that with not being able to play online with two people on same switch, so when the kids go to bed me and the wife can’t join two randoms online to play a match, kinda brings this title down for me quite a bit. All in all, still a good time, I just reckon the good time could be improved a lot with some seemingly common sense tweaks and/or a little more customization abilities.

It's an illusion, it seems really fun at first but quickly you realize just how empty it is, very few maps & characters, no meaningful unlockable content, and a predictable flow that tires fast. Ultimately, despite the good laughs you'll have with friends on your first handful of plays, it's very disappointing because it feels so so close to being the perfect game while simultaneously somehow leaving just enough out to make it pretty much unplayable after you've seen it's very cheaply done gimmicks. Can nintendo just give us the ultimate mario party game for once? This just feels like a $60 demo. I don't quite see the passion behind this one.
