Shanna Jacobson

I've watched three episodes and each was equally painful. It's impossible to suspend disbelief when the characters are so grossly and obviously incompetent and stupid. There's a captain who shrugs off mutiny and continual insubordination, two crew members who choose to expose themselves to the air on an alien planet because it's inconvenient to work with a fogged up visor (???) even when ordered to wear their full gear, and another who is explicitly instructed multiple times NOT to bring back a soil sample, and guess what, he does anyway. You would think only the best and brightest would be represented on a first contact mission, but the writers have populated the ship with nincompoops.
