Watched this because it's a remake of Someday or One Day. It's disappointing.
Plot-wise, it was unsatisfying. For example, in the original version, the first episode was filled with the female lead's reluctance to accept her boyfriend's death and it was painful to see how she couldn't let go and tried to find a reason, even seemingly absurd, just to be able to move on. It was heartbreaking and set the mood of the drama.
Yet, the korean version cut all the emotional parts, rushing to the funeral and break up scene. Even the way the female lead found out about the proposal was lackluster, even though it should be a scene filled with remorse. Watching it, I couldn't feel the love between them, only that the female lead was selfish and now she feels sorry that the male lead died. The korean version was too rushed in going to the heart of the story, it did not take care of the emotional parts.
Also, the scene of wang quan sheng being gay in the original was very heartfelt. He wants to be loved yet he receives scorning from other people. The way his story was told, along with chen yun ru's was very moving.
The korean version falls short by trying to present it as some kind of plot twist and it even dilutes the sense of cp with the female lead. It was unneeded. The korean version took out the good part of Someday or One Day and added a lot of unnecessary part that only makes it worse.
