Let me be honest, I loved the first few chapters of the book, I loved the way the author has narrated two characters separately in the book. The writing style must be appreciated as well. Yet at some point I feel like the story lost it's direction. Loosing Rose and then Augusta's sister was more emphasized and that created a very depressing mood. The reader would like to feel the moment or loss of one character but not two at a very short period and this was more elaborated when her father got paralyzed. Why do I have to ready so much of lost when it is clearly not for looking?
According to my perspective, these losses would have been avoided to create much positive vibe to the story and the later part of the story would have been improved. I feel like the ending was rushed, more romance would have been added as it was the male narrators first time encounter with a woman.
