i heard ‘Lovecraft’ and ‘Jordan Peele’ & got excited. Lovecraft was great at developing psychological tension, as is Peele, and i was curious to see how Peele would address Lovecrafts’ extremely racist past. none of this manifests. this show is goofy & hoakey, with bad acting & worse direction, coupled with bad special effects. its kind of like Twin Peaks with racism, and the spotlight on the disgusting legacy of Jim Crow era racism is really the only thing of value in this show.
