Lockdown has its perks after all. I watched this not knowing what to expect- if it was going to be serious, comedic or something in between.
I watched the first episode and binge watched the rest and didn’t get to bed until almost 5am. It has its wonderfully comic moments but is an extremely powerful drama and highlights the start of the aids epidemic and the brutal treatment of sufferers of this horrible disease, the stigma and prejudice they faced just because of who they were.
The fabulous acting of well formed characters made it heartbreakingly sad to watch. I don’t care how tough you are, this will make you cry.
All I can say is that this is unmissable and thank goodness things have changed.
