Eileen Bourgeault

I read this book for two reasons: 1. The topic is very real ent. 2. I heard it was controversial. With this in mind, I tackled the book as a work of fiction and tried to keep this in mind throughout the book. The author kept my interest with her vivid descriptions and her use of languages. Although I don’t speak Spanish and have no idea what was being said at times, it kept me mindful and heightened my awareness of certain situations! I believe this is an important piece of literature today and I greatly appreciate the author’s intent!
