Shows the selfish mindset of village folks in a funny way. It's not a great show but is an accurate portrayal of rural india.
Mostly Indian movies put up a fake glorified image of Indian villages and simplicity of the villagers. Panchayet takes a different route and shows the reality- the meanness, narrow mindedness, insecurity of rural Indians, which is indeed a birthplace of most of the problems India face now(some of which is highlighted in the span of the series). Glad that someone had the courage to show this using humour as a tool.
