It has great special effects great sound design but a terrible set up of a story it’s a mix of both good and bad acting and some weird story decisions that are just used to Segway the scenes in the film in a terribly obvious way a lot of the scenes were the characters and monsters make choices to do things that are supposed to either progress the story or just used as filler most of the choices do not make sense it can take you out of the film or at least force you to stretch your logical belief in story telling a little bit more than what you’ve asked for. it’s very unbalanced I wish they could of improved it more the best acting performances are still in the 2014 movie even though that one had flaws as well that’s pretty much most of the problems that I know some that like watching movies find annoying

Two stars goes for the horror and special effects shown on screen I was not a fan of the story although it was unexpected the reasons for the killers doing this is stupid especially when one of the killers says there motivation is to be the lone survivor I mean you know she’s not the only survivor right and if it’s because she seen this on the news that’s ever more of a stupid excuse but I think it would have been better if they made you think it was them but it was actually just the two movie nerds the whole time who were obsessed with trying to reboot the movies that premise just seems really funny to me maybe I’m wrong but there’s times in the film when there making fun of that so why not go all out with the idea
