I'm of an age to remember the original and it's one of my favourite films of all time. This is not that film!
That I think is the point. Don't watch it expecting Swayze. Watch it as a new film and actually it's not bad at all.

Strikes me this is another film like The Marvels that fell foul of a particular set of critics who have a problem with female led superhero films. Just my opinion so trolls back off! 🤣 I thought it was actually quite a good film.

As an avid Cornwell fan, I suspended disbelief and watched this for what it is. An adaptation! I think we forget, the Last Kingdom took time to find its feet as it is with this series. I liked it.
