Like the Outsider it's visually exciting, Kathleen is always amazing, the couple at the lodge is cool, the festival was contrived , tiny but still cool. Everything else I could do with out. The reason for the island is pretty cool but outside of some bad oystering the show doesn't show this and how it effects the real world, they only tell. This show wants to be Lost x Wicker man x Wayward pines and maybe a little season 2 leftovers. In its ambition I think it reaches too far. I was hooked till episode 3 which feels rushed but loved the SPOILER -- Soul of the world thing, but it's just not earned. At least not yet. The previews for next week is totally leftovers season 2 style
